Plan Submittal Requirements for Foothills Homes with CC&Rs

The mission of the CFA is to preserve the lifestyle we all enjoy in the Foothills. Part of that mission is enforcing zoning and development restrictions as new homes are added to existing neighborhoods and older homes are remodeled or enlarged. All property owners with CC&Rs in Areas 1 - 6 are required to submit construction plans for review and approval by the CFA Architectural Review Committee prior to starting the project. Once the CFA approves the plans and you have received all applicable building permits, your project may proceed. You must notify the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) of changes in your initial plans during the course of the project and the Committee must approve all changes.

New Construction, Additions, Exterior Remodeling, and Improvements:

  1. Drawings describing the nature and extent of the proposed addition, exterior remodeling and other improvements should include:

  • Name of property owner and appropriate contact information

  • Address of property

  • Lot number

  • See the Design Standards and Revegetation Standards for specific detailed requirements and information.

2. Plans satisfying the Design Standards and Revegetation Standards must be submitted and approved prior to construction commencement.

3. Contact the CFA secretary for questions and submittal information

Please Note: Approval of construction plans is an architectural approval by the CFA Board only; therefore, plans are still subject to municipal zoning approval. The CFA Board does not meet in July or August and CFA review of submissions made after June 1 may be delayed. Variance requests may be delayed if made after May 1.

If you have questions or need to provide digital floor plans, please contact the Architectural Review Committee.
